BBQ has been a tradition for the Wever family for generations. What started out as a family tradition and passion has turned into a fantastic product and service. Owner, Arron Wever, sees BBQ as way to bring neighbors and family together. He sees BBQ’s as a chance to create a real community. And from this vision, he created a sauce that brought his friends, family, and neighbors together.
Arron started playing with different ingredients to improve upon his grandfather’s recipe. By learning the process of balancing sauces with sweetness, acidic notes, and elements of spiciness, Arron was able to create a unique and tasty BBQ sauce. Once he developed his sauce, Arron began bottling sauces for his friends and family. Eventually, he expanded his sauce making and started selling the four sauces in retail markets and began a catering service.
For Wever’s Smoke Eaters BBQ, it’s not just about the sauce or the food–it’s about the relationships that are built and cultivated around the table. It’s about the experience of bringing people together to share in great BBQ.
